What insurance or payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, UPI, and card payments. For insurance, please contact us directly to verify whether your provider is empanelled with Nama Med. Our reception team can assist with cashless claim processes where applicable.
Does Nama Med use digital health records?
Yes. Nama Med operates an AI-integrated ERP system, which means your medical records, prescriptions, and lab reports are maintained securely in digital format for easy access and continuity of care.

APPOINTMENTS & BOOKING
How do I book an appointment at Nama Med?
You can book appointments online through www.nama.med, call our reception, or walk in during clinic hours. We recommend booking in advance for specialist consultations such as Orthopedics, Dermatology, or Gynecology.
Do I need a referral to see a specialist?
No referral is required. You can book directly with any of our specialists — Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Surgery, Dermatology, Gynecology, or ENT. If you're unsure where to start, our General Practitioner can guide you to the right specialist.
Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Yes. Please contact us at least 2 hours before your appointment to reschedule or cancel. call our front desk directly to complete the cancellation process. you will be 100% charged if you did not cancel the Tele-consultation 2 hrs before.
What are your clinic hours?
Our clinic is open 7 days a week. Please visit www.nama.med or contact reception for the latest timing, as hours may vary on public holidays.

What specialties does Nama Med offer?
We offer a comprehensive range of medical services: General Practice (GP), Pediatrics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Dermatology, Gynecology, ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat), along with Pharmacy, Diagnostic Lab, and Minor OT facilities — all under one roof.
Does Nama Med have an in-house pharmacy and lab?
Yes. Our in-house pharmacy and diagnostic laboratory are available to patients. Prescriptions are filled on-site, and lab reports are delivered promptly. For home patients, we also offer medicine delivery and sample collection at your doorstep.
What is the Minor OT used for?
Our Minor Operation Theatre (Minor OT) is equipped for small outpatient procedures that do not require hospital admission — such as wound care, minor excisions, and other day-care surgical procedures. Your doctor will advise if your treatment qualifies.
Do you handle emergency walk-ins?
We accept walk-in patients for urgent consultations. For medical emergencies requiring hospitalisation or critical care, you will be stabilised and referred to the appropriate facility. Our team is trained to handle a wide range of acute presentations.
HOME HEALTHCARE
What home healthcare services does Nama Med provide?
We offer three home-based services: doctor home visits for patients who cannot travel, home sample collection for lab tests, and medicine delivery from our pharmacy. These are available across the Kannur district.
How do I request a home doctor visit?
You can request a home visit by calling our clinic or emailing contact@nama.med. Our team will schedule a visit based on availability and the clinical need of the patient.
Is medicine delivery available on the same day?
In most cases, yes. Medicine delivery timelines depend on prescription verification and delivery location within Kannur. Contact us to confirm availability for your area.
TELECONSULTATION
Can I consult a Nama Med doctor online?
Yes. We offer teleconsultation for patients globally. Video or phone consultations are available with our General Practitioners and specialists. Prescriptions and reports can be shared digitally.
How do I join a teleconsultation session?
After booking your teleconsultation online or via phone, you'll receive a link via sms / WhatsApp. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet space. Our team will walk you through the process if this is your first session.
Which countries can access Nama Med teleconsultation?
Our teleconsultation service is available globally for the Indian diaspora and beyond — particularly those based in the Gulf region, Europe, and beyond who wish to consult expert doctors for themselves or their family members back home.
PHARMACY & LAB
Can I get lab tests done without a doctor's appointment?
Yes, certain routine tests can be done without a prior consultation. However, for accurate interpretation of results, we recommend discussing them with one of our doctors. You can also opt for a teleconsultation to review your reports remotely.
How are lab reports delivered?
Reports are available in-clinic and can also be shared digitally via email or WhatsApp for your convenience. Turnaround time varies by test — our staff will inform you when to expect your results.
Can I buy medicines without a prescription?
Over-the-counter medications are available without a prescription. For prescription medicines, a valid prescription from a registered medical practitioner is required, as per pharmacy regulations.
